You have to love seeing celebrities that know how to balance their lives. On the one side of the balance is the lifestyle: whether they have a huge house, or cars, or shoe habit. But, the other side of the balance is either being super frugal about the way that they spend or they are big on investing, especially in the age of tech start-ups. It’s beyond refreshing to see celebs out thrift shopping or not buying new cars all the time or just shopping at the same everyday places like the average person. Jay Z

Jay Z has done just about everything – minus run for President. But, seriously he’s lived the rough life of the city, sold albums out his car, made hits, had his own label, made some more hits, married Beyonce, and has truly taken the time to become a businessman. He’s recently invested in a video-sharing app called Viddy with Will Smith and invested in the Duracell Powermat which is currently in Starbucks.



Kristin Bell

There’s something super special about Kristin Bell. She is known for being super frugal and could care less. If only everyone had to the confidence to wear a $45 dress from Target on the red carpet, as Bell has done before. And many women live for the day that they get to wear the huge and expensive dress and have the pricey weddings. While Bell, paid $142 for her entire wedding.



Magic Johnson

The man. The myth. The legend. Magic Johnson has been all around the entertainment industry and has made quite a name for being a serious businessman. He’s most recently been involved with a firm called Detroit Venture Partners that invests in different companies and tech start-ups, including Sociocast and Are You A Human. And let’s not forget that Magic is also one of the owners of the LA Dodgers.

With Sex and the City being such a huge hit tv series and then go on to be a huge movie series, you would think that Sarah Jessica Parker was willing to splurge on everything. And the exact opposite is true. Parker has told reporters that she dressed her son in hand-me-downs. She and her husband, Matthew Broderick wanted to make sure they didn’t raise entitled kids.

As a huge entertainer back in the late 80s and early 90s, he fell into a lot of money and success, and just as quickly fell out of it. But, Hammer has gotten his money together and looked into some start-ups to invest in. Which includes DanceJam (dance website), Square Inc., and an app development company.

But, most recently, his clothing line and shoes have been all over social medias with his most recent launches.
