It’s sad to say that we currently live in a social media driven culture, where people feel like they can say whatever they want to someone else. But, that’s only online and hidden by the veil of a computer screen. Cyber bullies are real and more abusive than ever. And they don’t stop just to include their average Joe peers, they even go after some of the most famous people in the world. Society has become obsessed with outer appearances and will have no problem sending celebs a message about themselves. Here are 15 of the Most Cyber Bullied Celebs on Social Media.

Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes was a childhood favorite star from the hit tv shows on Nickelodeon, All That and her own show The Amanda Show. And her next few movies – She’s the Man, Hairspray, Sydney White, and Easy A – were all pretty solid movies. But, when she went through a stream of legal issues and a hospitalized for mental health issues, the cyber bullies pulled no punches with the funny girl.



Ellen Page
Ellen Page made quite the appearance in her breakthrough movie role in Juno. She went on to star in a couple X-Men movies, Super, and Inception. And in 2012, Page found herself the victim of cyber bullying via Twitter. The Oscar-nominated actress was tweeted two separate death threats. One of the threats was in regards to her relationship with Alexander Skarsgard. The LAPD was quick to begin investigations into the Twitter accounts.



Chris Brown

This guy just can’t seem to keep himself out the public eye and off of social media. Most people are aware of his very public domestic violence incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna and most recently with Karrueche Tran. We all watched in horror at the pictures of Rihanna’s bloodied face, but some people went on the cyber attack of the famous singer. And to this day, he still gets attacked about the altercations.




If there is one singer that gets bullied about their singing voice more than anyone else, it is definitely Ciara. The Like a Boy singer has always been praised for the way she moves, but never for her singing voice. So in 2014, Ciara wrote a letter on her personal blog that went viral about cyber bullies. The letter summed up the way she felt about anonymous people leaving such hateful messages.



Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is one of the biggest celebrities in the world and of course she has her fair share of haters. But, the floodgates for the haters opened up in 2013 when Madonna gave an interview and mentioned that she notices that Lady Gage emulates her. Gaga was quick to clap back on Twitter at the interview and her Little Monsters were not far behind to defend their Queen.



Paris Jackson
As the child of the King of Pop, Paris Jackson is under an immense amount of stress. And in 2013, Paris became a victim of cyber bullying via Facebook and left her feeling destructive. She was constantly receiving messages about her father’s molestation allegations and this left her wanting to attempt suicide. She eventually got rid of her Facebook while she was in treatment at UCLA Medical Center.



LeAnn Rimes

And country music is not exempt from the evils of cyber bullies. Just ask LeAnn Rimes. She went through a messy scandal extramarital affair in 2009, when she ended the marriage of Eddie Cibrian, her current husband. But, his ex-wife and her fans were not going to let this go quietly. They went straight to Twitter and let her have it. Rimes ended up seeking professional treatment for stress and anxiety.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is definitely not new to the world of cyber bullying. On her Twitter account, she has been under scrutiny about how much she weighs, rumors of getting breast implants, her past MTV Awards performance and the list continues. But, Cyrus is not one to roll over and just be the victim. She was partnered with Twitter to start a campaign to end cyber bullying in 2011.



Justin Bieber

The world has had the unique opportunity to see Justin Bieber making his start on YouTube and developing into who he is today. But, the path was not always smooth for Bieber as he did things that other teenagers do, just in the public eye for all to see. In 2012, Biebs spoke out again cyber bullying, claiming that he has been bullied. Later in 2012, his PSA was released.



Lindsay Lohan

One of our favorite Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan has spent the past few years in the struggle. Whether she’s arriving late to a movie premier, getting in trouble with the law, saying things she shouldn’t be saying, or being criticized for her appearance – this girl had it rough. Lohan had been struggling to keep it together since 2007 and people were not afraid to chime on about her issues.



FKA Twigs

FKA Twigs is a British singer-songwriter that is engaged to Twilight star, Robert Pattinson. And they are quite the hot couple, but some of the Twilight fans are not a fan of them being together because they hoped that Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would be together again. So, in 2014 fans left racist comments via Twitter and FKA Twigs took a stand against her haters, letting them know racism is not okay.



Kim Kardashian

At this point in time, people should be immune to the things that have been said by Kim Kardashian and the things said about her. She is constantly talked about in the media, as she is constantly doing things to stay relevant. Whether she’s breaking the internet with her full frontal magazine spread or still being talked about because of her sex tape, Kardashian is still the topic of many conversations.



Karrueche Tran

When the news broke that Chris Brown was moving on from Rihanna (again) and found something special in a new girl named Karrueche Tran, the social media world exploded. Karrueche has been his on again, off again girlfriend for years. So, Rihanna and her millions of followers went on the attack via Twitter, letting her know how they all really felt about her. And it was not pleasant.



Iggy Azelea

Now, when it comes to female rappers, Iggy Azalea has taken on some pretty harsh criticisms and not just from random fans, but from celebs as well. She recently decided that she was going to give Twitter a break early in 2015, after coming home from her vacation. She received a flood of hateful comments about her butt having cellulite in photos that were taken by the paparazzi.

Since Drake emerged in the world of rap music, he as not been taken seriously by some and considered to be a soft rapper and even called delicate. But, things got all too real for him on his mother’s birthday. He received many messages, including one where the follower hoped that Drake’s mom would die in a car crash. And of course the haters made fun of him for having a bully. Classic.
