When she’s not on the tennis court winning Grand Slams and Olympic gold medals Venus Williams is running an interior design business out of Jupiter, Florida. She started V Starr Interiors in 2002 and her clientele includes the homes of well known NFL and NBA players in the Miami area and the Burr Athletic Facility at Howard University. Even though she didn’t finish design school, she surrounded with a team of all women professional designers.



Carmen Electra

You would probably best recognize Carmen Electra dressed in her lifeguard uniform, ready to save lives on the hit ‘90s tv show Baywatch. But, after the show, Electra put her business hat and started a series of workout videos and pole dancing exercises. You can find videos of her on Youtube doing stripaerobics and testing out her competitions portable in-home poles. Best part about her product is that her videos are good for beginners and professional pole dancers.



Andrew Shue

Besides playing a major role on the Aaron Spelling hit show, Melrose Place, Andrew Shue was playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy, a of the Major League Soccer team. Now, he’s on the Board of Directors for Do Something, a non-profit organization that he co-founded with Michael Sanchez inspiring youth to volunteer and be active for social change. Sanchez and Shue also started CafeMom, an online community for mom’s and mom’s-to-be to share their stories of motherhood.

He co-founded his company, Newman’s Own a brand that started out as salad dressing and eventually expanded to lemonade, salsa, popcorn, etc. Newman did the unthinkable – made a company policy that would take all the proceeds (after taxes) and donate them to charity. The company has donated over $400 million to thousands of different charities.




Jay-Z is one of the most successful rapper’s of all time. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has a net wroth over $520 million. As an entrepreneur, Jay-Z has been quite busy over the years. He co-owns the 40/40 Club in NYC, co-founded of Roc-A-Fella Records, co-created his clothing line Rocawear, and is the co-founder of Roc Nation. He had to relinquish his ownership in the Brooklyn Nets, in order to represent clients in basketball.

Will Ferrell has had an extensive movie career. He will always be Ricky Bobby from Talledega Nights: the Ballad of Ricky Boddy, Elf, or Anchorman. In 2007, Ferrell and Adam McKay launched Funny or Die, an online website where viewers can upload videos to be voted on. The website has become very popular since it’s launch. The first video, The Landlord featuring Ferrell and McKay’s 2 year-old daughter, had over 70 million views.

50 Cent has been making a name for himself as a businessman, with the founding of G-Unit Records and G-Unit Clothing Company in 2003. 50 took an interest in Glaceau and created Formula 50 an enhanced water beverage. He also founded to production companies Cheetah Vision and G-Unit Films, but focuses on Cheetah Vision since it’s the only one still running. 50 has also taken an interest in precious metals, he even visited the South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe.
